Aepyornis also known as Great Elephant Bird of Madagascar, is considered the largest bird to have ever lived. Existing for 60 million years in Madagascar, the elephant bird went extinct by the 16-17th century.  The volume of its eggs is about 160 times greater than a chicken egg.
